Sweet and Spicy Pork

Once again, I venture to Pinterest to find a yummy recipe for dinner.

This particular Hawaiian Chicken recipe has had me intrigued for some time, I chose it.  Three ingredients? Heck yeah!  I can totally dig that.  But me... I gotta change things up a little bit.  So, here is my variation.

Sweet and Spicy Pork

Ingredients:

Boneless Pork Chops (I think I actually ended up with loin, I don't know LOL.  I tend to buy whatever is edible when I see a $3 off sticker.)
1 Jar of Archer Farms Hawaiian-style Barbecue Sauce
1 Can of Pineapple (I bought chunks, tidbits would be okay, and I can see how rings would make a pretty served dish.)

Sweet and Spicy Pork

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a slow-cooker (I even threw in the pineapple juice).  Allow to cook for four hours on high or eight on low.  It's that easy.

I served it with steamed rice and green beans.  Nothing fancy.  But let me tell you... WoW!!

Sweet and Spicy Pork

First of all, the meat turned out incredibly tender.  Seriously, no knife needed kind of tender.  The tangy barbecue flavor soaked into the meat giving it a deep almost smoked flavor.  Second, the sauce, fabulous.  The saturated rice could have been a meal on its own.

But the best part... the pineapples.

Sweet and a tang that made me pop another in my mouth before the first one was done.  Then, without warning, bam!  My mouth was on fire.  Not sure where the spicy came in, but it kicks!  Loved it though.  This dish, I will definitely make again.  Even my super picky hubbie enjoyed every bite.  Well, not the spicy pineapples.
